Some real Questions and Answers about our Pricing and Contracting!
1. How much does The Park Avenue Band cost?
A most obvious question, and it's a great one! And here's the answer: It depends! You've probably heard that one before, but here's the difference: We actually have no fixed price! However, the question is real and it deserves a real answer, so, please try to get a feel for this:
--- Bands of our caliber, in Central Indiana, start their quoting at $2500 - $3000 per engagement. They will fall back to $2000 - $2500 if they need (or want) the job, on that date. Since we are of that caliber (i.e., we fit in that "niche") we are no different on that account. (In Chicago, for example, a comparable act starts quoting at $3000 - $3500. It's all about markets, supply, and demand.)
--- Most of the other bands (in this category / niche) consist of 5-6 pieces, including one lead singer, and no Horn Section. The Park Avenue Band is nine (9) members strong. A complete stage show! We boast two lead singers (male and female voices), a powerful, sassy, three piece Horn Section, and the best, "thumpin'est," most experienced Rhythm Section in the class. That's nine pieces. Nine on-stage performers! Huge! At any price, The Park Avenue Band continues to be 'the value'.... the best 'bang for buck' option when compared to all other competitors .... guaranteed!
--- There are "peak" periods in the entertainment business: Spring and Summer weddings and parties, Company events in the summer and around winter holidays, etc. It's easier to get our desired fees when there is a lot of demand for a few good bands. When demand is not as great, any band plays less frequently, or a band might play for a reduced rate, or both.
--- If you are interested in purchasing the entertainment which only The Park Avenue Band can provide you, and if your budget does not accommodate the fees we would like, then simply make a reasonable offer for us to consider. Although we aren't "cheap," we are reasonable.
2. Will you play for less?
As stated above, we will consider any reasonable offer on any available date. This is true for our competitors, too, no matter how, or what, they "pose." It's Entertainment ... it's negotiable!
3. How do you define a "reasonable offer"?
Simply make an offer. Call us or contact us by email and suggest a budget which is comfortable for you. We'll do everything we can to work with you. If you are serious about having top-notch entertainment, we'll be serious about trying to help you.
4. For $1000, cash, would The Park Avenue Band travel to Chicago, or Columbus, or Kalamazoo, or Louisville, or St. Louis, and play for my daughter's wedding reception, or for my Company's Annual Party?
No, sorry. But thank you for asking.
5. O.K.! For $1000, would The Park Avenue Band play at my annual summer bash if I provide the sound system, the light show, the sound engineer, the roadies, stage gear, dressing rooms, all meals, beverages, lodging, travel, drivers and vehicles to and from the venue, advertising, "Marquee" promotion, and a substantial "tip" for a memorable show, and another substantial "tip" as homage to the nine exceptional performers for their countless hours of music lessons, for their college credits, their Degrees, knowledge, experience, dedication, commitment, reliability, and passion?
Please get in touch with us. If we are available on your date, we may be able to work something out. We are curious.
6. Does the Park Avenue Band ever play gratis?
Yes, but infrequently. All nine of us must agree that the cause is worthy, and all nine of us must be available.
7. So, I need to consider general market price for comparable entertainment in a particular locale or market, and then I need to remember that The Park Avenue Band will compete with any other band with regard to professionalism, quality of show, and buyer satisfaction, right?
Yes.
8. Does The Park Avenue Band require a deposit?
Although there are exceptions, we generally require a 50% deposit to secure and hold the date for you.
9. Will I be able to review a contract before I hire The Park Avenue Band?
Yes. We have provided a sample contract, below.
